For MiReHu Nonprofit Kft., this is an especially significant year as it marks the 150th anniversary of waste collection in Miskolc. To commemorate this prestigious anniversary and the Hungarian Poetry Day, the company is preparing a heartwarming surprise for the local residents.
As part of the “Makuka 150” memorial year, residents living on Ady, József Attila, Vörösmarty, Petőfi, and Jókai streets will find short excerpts of poems on their trash bins on Friday, April 10. This initiative was brought to life through the collaboration of MiReHu staff, their creative partner redon, and the project’s visionary, contemporary poet Pál Jacsó.
The stickers can be easily removed without leaving any adhesive residue; however, the Company hopes they will bring a smile to many faces. Those who enjoy the verses are welcome to keep them—allowing a little bit of poetry to become part of their daily lives.
